Ok, so I know it has been more than a couple of days since the last post, but I think I finally figured out how to get some pictures up here. I had some that I had loaded into my photo album, but it took me until yesterday to realize how to make the photo album accessible to you. I promise that this will get better once I figure it out!
I have a few great Stampin' Up! announcements. First, we can now accept credit cards for customer orders! The only thing is that credit cards cannot be used to pay for class or stamp camp fees or any other purchase that is not from a current catalog. The second piece of news is that the Occasions Mini Catalog has been extended through June 30th! So that means you can order from it for a whole extra month. If you don't have one, you can view a PDF of it here. Download the Occasions Mini Catalog
I will try to post a couple photos from different demonstrations that were done at Spring Fling over then next few days.
Today I'd like to show off the work of Dorene Decibus. She is an awesome stamper and I am in her second level downline. Dorene did a demonstration on chipboard, and since the Get On Board with Chipboard promotion is going on during the month of May I thought this would be a good time to post this.
This card uses the On Board Simon Upper chipboard. Heat and stick powder was applied to the chipboard and then the glitter was applied. I really like this card and I am considering a class using something similar, but if you'd like to host a workshop and you'd like to see this card demonstrated let me know and I'd be more than happy to set that up for you.
Isn't this card just gorgeous too? A small circle of chipboard was used for this card. Several of the chipboard sets have a few of the circles in them. The chipboard was then dyed white using the Craft Stampin' Pad and then heat set to dry the ink. The flower was then stamped on the chipboard and colored in using Blender Pens and Ink. When dry, it was attached to the previously stamped card. I would also love to demo this or something similar, so please contact me if you're interested!
As a personal note, I have gotten a new day job. I will be starting next Monday and I hope everything goes well. I will be the Digital Print Assistant at a marketing resources company and I hope to get some design time too. I will try to post a few times a week, but next week I might not get to post as many times as I'd like because of the transition. I'll let you know how it goes.
Until next time...stamp happy!
